What Is A Life List?

I envision that when I come to the end of my live with Mike, that we will have complete fulfillment, looking back on a rich history of experiences, beautiful friendships, and wonderful family memories.

Having a life list helps me and Mike to live the life of our dreams. I love to call it a "life list" because I want to live my dreams while I'm alive, rather than wait and try to scramble together a "bucket list" before we die.

What’s a Life List?

A life list is simply a list of long-term personal goals, often expressed as “X things to dowhile I'm alive." Some of the more popular lists are:

Get finances in order.

Get out of debt.

Learn something new.

Get more organized.

Buy a new home.

Exercise more.

Spend more time with friends and family.

Travel more.

Why Have a Life List

We don’t need a life list, but if we’re struggling with direction or just want to be open to personal growth, a life list can definitely help. A good life list is an anchor. It grounds us in your purpose, gives you hopes and dreams for the future, and helps you understand more about yourself. There is no right or wrong way to make this kind of list. Simply devote an hour, or however long it takes, to think about what we want to do? To have? To be? And create it! That's it!
